Data collected during the use of the system such as GPS location, access to photo gallery, camera, microphone, device information, etc.

Zepiex will request the user to allow access to certain device features and capabilities in order to access certain features of the system. As a user, you will be asked to provide certain permissions in order for the system to access such data. You can manage the access to these features by allowing or restricting these permissions. Following are the permissions which will be used to collect certain data while you use the system.

Location Data

This permission is used to accommodate security guard safety panic button features, live tracking features, and GPS location stamps for reports, time clock, site tour, etc. This feature is disabled when you restrict the location permissions within the app or when you sign out and close the app.

Microphone

As for the camera permission above, the microphone permission is requested so that the App can record audio during a video recording and for the Push-To-Talk “PTT” feature. Your microphone stops being accessed or used once you have signed out of the App.

Camera and Photo Gallery

Camera and photo gallery access is used to capture or attach photo and video media for the reporting feature. The user will be able to use the camera or gallery feature inside the app to capture photos and attach them to the reports. This feature is disabled when you restrict the location permissions within the app or when you sign out and close the app.

Data Collected While Browsing the Website

When you browse through our website, you do not need to submit any Personal Information. To use the Service thereafter, you do need to submit further Personal Information, which may include: your company name, email address, your contact number. However, in an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser or by our software application when you view or use the Service, such as the website you came from (the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, and other non-identifying information.

We track this information using cookies (small text files with an anonymous unique identifier). Cookies help the site remember and process information faster. You may choose to disable cookies through your browser settings.

Information You Provide by Registering

To become a subscriber to the Service, you need to create a profile by registering with the Service and entering your email address, company name, number of guards, payment details, and creating a username and password. In compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), Zepiex does not collect any information from individuals under the age of 13. Our website, products, and services are intended for people who are at least 13 years old. This privacy policy applies only to information collected online.
